Question and answer

Common questions asked  when you go abroad and their appropriate replies which you can give

A.     It is so hot there that all the water boils spontaneously.

Bizzare cases

Vienna, Austria: A 73-year-old woman was taken to court by her son on stalking charges after phoning him as many as 49 times a day for two-and-a-half years. “I just wanted to talk to him,” the woman stated, but apparently the feeling wasn’t mutual. She was fined almost $500 for her actions.

Case 2

Edwardsville, Illinois: Charles Douglas, 58, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after approaching parents in a park and asking if he could tickle their children. A judge dismissed the charge, ruling Douglas’ actions legal. Creepy, but legal.

Case 3

Patna, India: Balgovind Prasad, a 75-year-old doctor, was sentenced to three months in jail for taking a 51-cent bribe 24 years earlier. Prasad had taken the money from a sweeper in exchange for issuing a fake medical certificate.

Taxi Driver

A NYC Taxi driver wrote: I arrived at the address and honked the horn. After waiting a few minutes I honked again. Since this was going to be my last ride of my shift I thought about just driving away, but instead I put the car in park and walked up to the door and knocked.. 'Just a
minute', answered a frail, elderly voice.
I could hear something being dragged across the floor. After a long pause, the door opened. A small woman in her 90's stood before me. She was wearing a print dress and a pillbox hat with a veil pinned on it, like somebody out of a 1940's movie. By her side was a small nylon suitcase. The apartment looked as if no one had lived in it for years. All the furniture was covered with sheets. There were no clocks on the walls, no knickknacks or utensils on the counters. In the corner was a cardboard box filled with photos and glassware. 'Would you carry my bag out to the car?' she said.
I took the suitcase to the cab, then returned to assist the woman. She took my arm and we walked slowly toward the curb. She kept thanking me for my kindness. 'It's nothing', I told her.. 'I just try to treat my passengers the way I would want my mother to be treated.' 'Oh, you're such a good boy, she said. When we got in the cab, she gave me an address and then asked, 'Could you drive through downtown?' 'It's not the shortest way,' I answered quickly.. 'Oh, I don't mind,' she said. 'I'm in no hurry. I'm on my way to a hospice.
I looked in the rear-view mirror. Her eyes were glistening. 'I don't have any family left,' she continued in a soft voice..'The doctor says I don't have very long.' I quietly reached over and shut off the meter. 'What route would you like me to take?' I asked. For the next two hours, we drove through the city. She showed me the building where she had once worked as an elevator operator. We drove through the neighborhood where she and her husband had lived when they were newlyweds She had me pull up in front of a furniture warehouse that had once been a ballroom where she had gone dancing as a girl. Sometimes she'd ask me to slow in front of a particular building or corner and would sit staring into the darkness, saying nothing. As the first hint of sun was creasing the horizon, she suddenly said, 'I'm tired. Let's go now'.
We drove in silence to the address she had given me. It was a low building, like a small convalescent home, with a driveway that passed under a portico. Two orderlies came out to the cab as soon as we pulled up. They were solicitous and intent, watching her every move. They must have been expecting her. I opened the trunk and took the small suitcase to the door. The woman was already seated in a wheelchair. 'How much do I owe you?' She asked, reaching into her purse. 'Nothing,' I said 'You have to make a living,' she answered. 'There are other passengers,' I responded. Almost without thinking, I bent and gave her a hug.She held onto me tightly. 'You gave an old woman a little moment of joy,' she said. 'Thank you.' I squeezed her hand, and then walked into the dim morning light.. Behind me, a door shut. It was the sound of the closing of a life.. I didn't pick up any more passengers that shift.
I drove aimlessly lost in thought. For the rest of that day, I could hardly talk. What if that woman had gotten an angry driver,or one who was impatient to end his shift? What if I had refused to take the run, or had honked once, then driven away? On a quick review, I don't think that I have done anything more important in my life. We're conditioned to think that our lives revolve around great moments. But great moments often catch us unaware-beautifully wrapped in what others may consider a small one.

Guru Nanak ji

Once a king in India went to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and asked, “O Guru Ji! As you told us that God Himself supports His true worshiper, but God has so many apostles, why does He support His devotees Himself? Why does not He send His apostles to help the devotees?”

As he said this, his own son who was playing at the bank of a nearby river slipped in the river. The king did not waited for a second and jumped in the river right after his son to save his child.

After saving his child he returned to the Guru. The Guru asked, “My dear friend, you were sitting here with me a minute ago and why did you jump in the river?” King explained that his son had slipped in the river and he went to save him.

Then the Guru asked, “Dear friend, you have so many servants then why did you jumped in the river by yourself? Why did not you send you servants to save him?”

The King said, “When it come to my son. I do not want to take any chances and would do anything it takes to protect him. I love my son very much and I do not want to lose him at any cost.”

Then Guru Ji said, “My dear friend, God loves His devotees the same way as you love your son. That is why he Himself saves His true worshiper.”

Conductor

Once there was a bus conductor, who was very rude to his passengers.
One day a beautiful young girl, of around 18 years, tried to board
the bus, but he didn’t stop the bus.
Unfortunately the beautiful young girl came under the bus and died
on the spot. Angry passengers took the conductor to the police station, who
in turn took him to the court.
The judge was not at all impressed with him and gave him capital punishment.
He was taken to the electrocution chamber. There was a single chair in the
center of the room and a single banana peel at one corner of the room. The
conductor was strapped to the chair and high voltage current was given to
him. But to everyone’s amazement, he survived. The judge decided to set him
free, and he returned to his profession.
After a few months, this time, a good looking middle aged woman
tried to board the bus but the conductor didn’t stop the bus. Unfortunately,
this time also, the good looking middle aged woman came under the bus and
died on the spot.
Again angry passengers took him to the police station, who in turn
took him to the court. The judge took one look at the conductor and gave him
capital punishment. The Bus conductor was taken to the same electrocution
chamber where there was a single chair in the center of the room and
a single banana peel at one corner of the room. He was strapped to the
chair and high voltage current was given to him. This time also to
everyone’s amazement, he survived. The judge decided to set him free, and he
returned to his profession.
A couple of months later, an elderly gentleman tried to board the
bus. This time the Bus conductor, remembering his earlier experiences,
stopped
the bus. Unfortunately the elderly gentleman slipped and died due to his
injuries. The conductor was taken to the police station and then to
the court, to the same judge. Though he hadn’t done anything wrong, but
considering his past record the judge decided to set an example and
gave him capital punishment. The Bus conductor was again taken to the same
electrocution chamber where there was a single chair in the center
of the room and a single banana peel at one corner of the room. He was
strapped to the chair and high voltage current was given to him. This time
he died instantly !!!!!!!!!!!
The question is why didn’t he die on the first two occasions, but died
instantly the third time??
Try to solve it yourselves. This is rather interesting and answer is
perfectly logical. If necessary read the puzzle once again.
! Still you couldn’t, Then see below………

think hard

come on ………….

tired….

wanna know the answer????

ok…….. there is the Answer…………
During the first two times, the conductor was a Bad Conductor,
therefore electricity didn’t pass through him. But during the third time, he
was a good conductor, so electricity passed through him freely and he died
!!!!!!!!
Ha Ha Ha ha !!!!!!!! Obviously you gotta revise your science chapter
on Electricity ???
OK, OK….Relax…..No violence please…!!!!

Cockroach

Suddenly, a cockroach flew from somewhere and sat on a lady.  She started screaming out of fear. With panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started doing jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach. Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group got cranky to what was happening. The lady finally managed to push the cockroach to another lady in the group. Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama. The waiter rushed forward to their rescue. In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter. The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behavior of the cockroach on his shirt. When he was confident enough, he grabbed and threw it out with his fingers.
Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behavior? If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed? He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos. It is not the cockroach, but the inability of the ladies to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach that disturbed the ladies.
I realized even in my case then , it is not the shouting of my father or my boss that disturbs me, but its my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me.
It’s not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me.
More than the problem, it’s my reaction to the problem that hurts me.
I understood, I should not react in life. I should always respond.
The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.

Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always intellectual...

The empty suitcase

A man died, when he realized it, he saw God coming closer with a suitcase in his hand.
- God said: Alright son its time to go. - Surprised the man responded: Now? So soon? I had a lot of plans... - I'm sorry but its time to go. - What do you have in that suitcase? the man asked. - God answered: Your belongings. - My belongings? you mean my things, my clothes, my money? -God answered: Those things were not yours they belonged to the earth.
- Is it my memories? the man asked. -God answered: Those never belonged to you they belonged to Time. - Is it my talents? -God answered: Those were never yours they belonged to the circumstances. - Is it my friends and family? -God answered: I'm sorry they were never yours they belonged to the path. - Is it my wife and son? - God answered: They were never yours the belonged to your heart. - Is it my body? - God answered: That was never yours it belonged to the dust. -Is it my soul? God answered: No that is mine. Full of fear, the man took the suitcase from God and opened it just to find out the suitcase was empty. - With a tear coming down his cheek the man said: I never had anything???
-God answered:
God Said: That is correct, every moment you lived were only yours. Life is just a moment. A moment that belongs to you. For this reason enjoy this time while you have it. Don't let anything that you think you own stop you from doing so. -Live Now -Live your life - Don't forget to be happy, that is the only thing that matters. - Material things and everything else that you fought for stay here. -YOU CAN'T TAKE ANYTHING.
